Premium phones. Honest prices. Guaranteed quality.
Most people buying a second-hand phone in Kenya are taking a risk they cannot assess: they cannot see inside the device, they cannot verify the IMEI, and they have no recourse when it fails. We built GadgetDeals KE to remove that risk entirely — by publishing the things other sellers leave vague, and standing behind every unit for a year.

How we source and test
Five steps between intake and your hands
None of this is proprietary. We publish it because a process you can inspect is worth more than a promise you cannot.
1. Intake and IMEI verification
Every device is logged against its IMEI and serial number before anything else happens, and checked against national and international blacklists. Anything flagged is retained and reported — it never reaches the shop floor.
2. The 42-point functional test
Camera, speakers, microphones, biometrics, every antenna, charging, sensors and buttons. Function is never graded: it either passes or the device does not ship.
3. Battery tested under load
We discharge under a controlled load and measure real capacity rather than trusting the software reading, which drifts and can be reset by third-party tools. Anything below 85% gets a new battery before listing.
4. Cosmetic grading and photography
Graded Like New, Excellent or Good against a written standard, then cleaned, sanitised and re-boxed. We photograph individual units on request before dispatch.
5. Warranty issued against the IMEI
The 12-month warranty is tied to the specific handset, not to a receipt you might lose. It transfers with the device if you sell it on.

Why ex-UK matters
Around 80% of a phone's lifetime carbon footprint comes from manufacturing it. Buying a device that already exists is the single largest reduction available to a consumer in this category. That is not a marketing angle — it is simply where the emissions sit, and it happens to be cheaper too.
What we will not do
- • Sell a device we cannot verify the IMEI on.
- • Describe an ex-UK phone as new, anywhere, ever.
- • Publish a battery figure we have not measured ourselves.
- • Guarantee water resistance on a used device, because nobody honestly can.
- • Take money for a repair we do not think is worth doing.
