Small things that move the valuation
Most of these take ten minutes and are worth thousands of shillings.
Clean it properly
A soft cloth and a little isopropyl alcohol. Assessors grade what they can see, and a clean phone grades better than the same phone smudged.
Fix the cheap things first
A worn charging port often costs less to repair than the value it removes. Ask us for a repair quote first — we will tell you honestly if it is not worth it.
Find the box and cable
Complete units resell faster, so they are worth more. A receipt helps too.
Check the battery figure
Below 80%, a replacement can raise the valuation by more than it costs. Again, we will tell you which way the maths falls.
Sign out of everything
A device still signed in to an Apple, Samsung or Google account has no trade-in value until it is unlocked, and gets returned to you.
Back up first
We wipe to a certified data-destruction standard on arrival. Nothing is recoverable after that, so back up to iCloud, Google or a computer beforehand.
